Races of Trona
As a player on Trona you will be required to select a race. A race provides a sense of background and family for your character. You should carefully consider what race would best suit the persona you wish to portray. You should also take into account that some races are inherently better suited to some occupational styles, skills, and abilities then others. Selection of a race does not necessarily exclude you from an occupation; you may just have to work harder to become proficient at it.
Although you are allowed to change your race after death, doing so will result in a temporary reduction of your experience. So be sure to chose your characters race wisely.
Dwarves
Dwarves tend to live deep within hilly our mountainous areas and generally have an affinity towards precious metals and gems, especially gold. After a hard days work in the mine, you can find a dwarf enjoying a pint of stout brew. A dwarf can usually drink anyone under the table due to a high constitution.
Elves
Elves usually are a rather happy society with a lifespan so long many consider them to be immortal. Mainly taking up residence deep within lush green and mysterious forests, the elven kind are generally better suited to skills of the arcane because of a high wisdom.
Gnomes
A distant cousin to the dwarves, gnomes have a lively and sly sense of humor, especially those involving practical jokes. Much like the dwarves, gnomes prefer taking up living quarters in rolling rocky hills whilst refining the skill of polishing and cutting stones. Gnomes have acquired there keen intellect as a result of intelligence.
Humans
Found in most walks of life, humans come in all shapes and sizes. Learning trades of any kind a human can eventually become rather proficient in most skills, commonly referred to as the "jack of all trades, master of none." Humans are usually taller then most other races except the elves.
Hobbits
Also known as halflings, hobbits are a social and merry collection of people. Adventurous is one word to describe hobbits, usually winding down a long day of travels with a pipe of fine weed. Due to there small stature hobbits are more dexterous then any other race.
